Ain’t No Party Like a Keys’ Party

In 1981, a group of students calling themselves the Suburban Squares came together to sing and have a good time—although not necessarily in that order. Known today as the Extreme Keys, the group holds the title of the oldest female a cappella group in the Haverford/Bryn Mawr consortium. Noted for their electric energy and killer concerts, the Keys perform a range of music from 1970’s disco to 21st-century indie-pop. In the spring semester, they placed fourth in the 2015 Mid-Atlantic International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella, held at Drexel University.
