Defy Expectation seeks to raise a minimum of $250 million. Thirteen- thousand donors have already contributed $136 million during the quiet phase, which began in 2011. The campaign is in support of Bryn Mawr’s important work to attract the best and brightest students without regard for their financial need and to sustain the academic excellence and extracurricular experiences that will ensure students’ success after Bryn Mawr.
Other campaign priorities include ensuring that faculty have the resources to be both outstanding teachers and renowned scholars; preserving Bryn Mawr’s historic campus and updating facilities to meet the changing needs and ambitions of the student body; and increasing annual unrestricted gifts to The Bryn Mawr Fund to ensure that the College can take advantage of new opportunities and take care of business.
