Actress and director Charlotte Ford ’02 was named the winner of the F. Otto Haas Award for an Emerging Philadelphia Theatre Artist at the 2013 Barrymore Awards in early November. Last year, Ford conceived and costarred in BANG, and also won the 2012 Best of Philly award for Theater Talent from Philadelphia magazine. BANG was produced by the theater department in 2012, and Ford brought her work Chicken to campus in 2010 as part of the Performing Arts Series.

Briefs_AnassaKata_ResnikJudith Resnik ’72 was awarded the 2014 Book Award from the Order of the Coif for Representing Justice: Invention, Controversy, and Rights in City-States and Democratic Courtrooms (Yale University Press 2011), which she coauthored with her husband, Dennis Curtis. Recognized as the “highest order of legal scholarship” by the Order of the Coif, the book follows the evolution of adjudication into the modern day and explores the relationship between courts and democracy. Resnik is the Arthur Liman Professor of Law at Yale Law School.
